My Other Creations: Vellum Gift Bag Using We R Memory Keepers' Typewriter

I think we've clearly established that I am a lifelong geek for anything literature or library-related, so I decided to make a writing-themed vellum bag when I saw that this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge theme was to make a treat box or bag.  Treats in this case are a pen, a bookmark and some yummy little chocolates.

I started by wondering, "Can I type on vellum?"  The answer was a resounding YES!  I was worried the ink might smudge, but it stayed put on the vellum just fine.  I used the We R Memory Keepers typewriter to pound out one of my favorite writing quotes on the front of the vellum bag.

Next up, I sewed the bag together using a sewing machine and made the bookmark to go inside of it.  I also added a pen and had some chocolates on hand to round out this project.  Here it is before I assembled it:

Give me a typewriter and some chocolate and I'm a happy camper any day!  I enjoyed this project and loved the supplies I used, which you can find at Simon Says Stamp.

'Tis the season for all things treat-related, so I am excited to see what you come up with!  Upload your creations to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog for your chance to win a $50 voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store!
