My Other Creations: We R Memory Keepers Tab Punch Board Mini Folder

The theme for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is "Transport."  I made a folder to transport highly important documents of a secret nature (okay- maybe just craft papers) from Point A to Point B.

I have been waiting for months to get my hands on the new Tab Punch Board from We R Memory Keepers and it did not disappoint!  If you're thinking about getting one, there are some good YouTube videos on the basics of how it works.  And yes!  This is an easy board to use (some require a bigger learning curve, but this one's pretty straightforward).  In addition, here are some questions/answers I couldn't find online that I discovered after I bought my board:

What does is mean when the board advertises the ability to cut three different sizes of tabs (small, medium or large)?  This refers to the length of the tab only (short tab, medium tab or long tab).  They are exactly the same width and height, but the length is the part you're able to adjust.  I used the large tabs on my project above.

Can you punch tabs onto any size of paper?  Yes.  You can make "real size" folders or super mini folders.  The only limitations are on the size of paper you have.  If you wanted a huge folder, you'd obviously have to have huge paper.

Can you change the depth of the tabs?  Nope.  The board cuts into your paper at a set depth.  If you wanted more shallow/more narrow tabs for some reason, the tab depth is not something that's adjustable.

Can you change the shape of the tabs?  Negative.  If you don't like the tab shape (say you wanted to punch a tab that was really simple and didn't have the second bump-out "step" at the bottom), you can't adjust that on this board.  I think the shape is great, so I have no reason to want to change it, but I was curious about that when I was looking into this board.

The bottom line is that this board is awesome and I thoroughly enjoyed using it on this project.  Long live tabs, I say, and if you have a tool that makes it quick and easy to add tabs to anything, then all the better!

Here are the supplies I used for my folder, which you can find at Simon Says Stamp:

I can't wait to see where this week's theme will "transport" you (see what I did there?), so be sure to upload your creations to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog for your chance to win a $50 voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store!
