My Cards and Tags: Rainy Cityscape using Tim Holtz Products

This week's theme at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog is "whatever the weather."  We're also featuring Tim Holtz products.  I used some of my favorite new and old Tim products to make this rainy cityscape with a reassuring message.

I started by stamping the background.  I used a stamp from the Remnants set and covered it with black acrylic paint.  I spritzed the paint with water, then stamped it twice- side by side.  Before it dried, I sprinkled on some Brushos and gave it another spritz.  This is the result:

Next I covered one of the Halftone and Rings stamps with embossing ink and stamped it onto the background panel.  Then I heat-embossed it with white powder.

I painted inside the circles with acrylic paint (white, then colors) and added the cityscape to the bottom, which I painted pink and black.  Then I drizzled down some Inkredible ink by Jane Davenport.  I stamped the sentiment, cut it out and glued it onto the card.

Here are the supplies I used that you can find at Simon Says Stamp:

I can't wait to see how you interpret our theme this week!  Be sure to upload your creations to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog for your chance to win $50 to the Simon Says Stamp store.
