My Other Creations: Dylusions Pocket Insert Revamp using Dina Wakley's Scribbled Silhouettes Stamp

This week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge theme is to use stencils.  What a fabulous challenge!  I do love me some stencils.  I decided to cut a Dylusions Pocket Insert in half and decorate both halves using some of my favorite stencils and stamps.

I started out with a Dylusions Pocket Insert folder that I cut in half horizontally.

Then I got to work with my stenciling.  I stenciled white paint onto Strathmore Mixed Media paper and used AALL & Create's 28 stencil.  When that dried, I laid the paper face-down on some inky "water puddles" I'd made with Distress Stain.  Then I sprinkled on lots of different colors of Infusions color stain and spritzed it with more water.

While that was drying, I decorated the covers of my Dylusions folders with paint and did some stamping.  Then I cut my stenciled page into smaller sections.

I whipped out the sewing machine and sewed the panels onto the front of my folders.

After that, it was just a matter of sticking on some die-cut shapes (like Tim Holtz's Crochet thinlits) and doing some stamping (Dina Wakley's Scribbled Silhouettes).  I also added more stenciling with Altenew's halftone stencil.

Apparently I was feeling weary and old when I made these because one folder has a "She was tired" sentiment on it and the other folder has "going gray" pasted near the silhouette's head.

I did enjoy making these projects and these are the supplies I used, which you can find at Simon Says Stamp:
