I started by cutting some tea bags and shaking out the tea. Then I shook on some Infusions color stain and spritzed them with water.
While those were drying, I stamped and cut out four library due date cards using Inky Antics' Library Love stamp set. I designed this set and one thing that was important to me (an eternal librarian) was that the stamp was the real-life size of a paper library due date slip.
Next I stamped my cards with Dina Wakley circles, then filled them in with white acrylic paint.
I colored my circles in with different colors of acrylic paint.
While that dried, I stamped, fussy-cut and painted in some twig sprigs stamped with Inky Antics' Branching Out set.
I stenciled in some polka dots and painted them in various colors. Then I stapled the tea bags onto my due date cards.
I also decorated the tags on my tea bags with polka dot patterned paper, more stamping and some acrylic paint.
The tea bags were a little more vibrant than I had anticipated, so I added a bit of white to them and stuck on some Tim Holtz Washi tape.
I stamped and fussy-cut some "Carpe Librum" sentiments and stamped some scallop borders at the bottom. I put some patterned paper onto some of the scallop ridges and outlined the bookmarks with black Sharpie.
I glued the tea bag tags onto some of these bookmarks and left them dangling on others for some variety.
And here they all are together:
