I started by cutting out seven matchbooks using Tim Holtz patterned paper and the Tim Holtz Matchbook die. I also cut out seven "frames" using The Stamp Market's Vintage Slides die. I cut the frames out of Strathmore Mixed Media paper.
I stamped images onto my slide frames using a bunch of different Inky Antics stamp sets and Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink.
I sewed my slide frames to my matchbook notebooks and smeared on some acrylic paint.
While that paint dried, I cut out several strips of patterned paper and sewed them to a piece of scrap text paper I had. Then I added some more paint to blend the patterned paper into one giant collage.
I cut up my collage page and attached bits and pieces of it to my books.
I cut pages out of scrap paper and sewed them inside of my notebooks, then I added sentiment words to the front of some of the books. All of the sentiments came from Inky Antics stamp sets. I added some Tim Holtz flowers on here and there and bound each notebook closed with rubber bands.
Here's a view from the top when one is open:
I love books and notebooks of all shapes and sizes and had fun making this set!
Here are the supplies I used, which you can find at Simon Says Stamp:
