Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Tag Folio using Trinty Stamps' Slimline Tag Dies

The theme for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is Furry Friends.  Yipes!  I had a traumatic cat/allergy incident when I was a kid, plus a hamster disaster when I was a tween, so furry has not always equated to friends in my book.  But I know that furry friends bring a lot of meaning and joy and companionship to this world.  With that in mind, I decided to incorporate some furry bunnies along the side of this folio/envelope I made with Trinity Stamps' Slimline Tags die set.

I cut a nice long tag with the Trinity Stamps die set, Strathmore Mixed Media paper, and my Sizzix Big Shot and folded it into a folio shape.  I always use a scoring board when my fold lines need to be nice and crisp.

I got out my Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks and wrote some loopy words and doodled across the front and flap of my folio.

I used a water brush pen to smear things around and I also spritzed the whole thing with water.  Since my surface was wet, I shook on some Infusions color stain (Emerald Isle) and also smeared on some white paint.  When that dried, I stamped multiple bunny images along the fold line of my folio.

I thought that was a lot of bunny eyes looking at me, so I decided I would white out most of the bunny faces and have just one face instead of several.  I added some paint dots in Fuchsia.

When that was dry, I re-stamped just one bunny face and added some more scribbles and a few scraps of patterned paper.

I had to think of a way to close this folio, so I sewed on a button (backed by some cardboard for a little more stability) and a long strip of fabric.

This allowed me to wrap the fabric scrap around the folio, and then around the button, to keep it closed. 

So far, this is blank inside, but it's ready to be filled with paper scraps or ephemera or notebook pages, etc.  And no real fur = no traumas for me!
