"Stars" is the theme of the week over at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. It was the perfect opportunity for me to use The Ink Road's Adulting Gold Stars stamp set, which is pretty clever. It definitely celebrates the small victories!
I started by stamping the sentiments into the star frame, then cutting out the stars.
Next I stamped some circles from Dina Wakley's "For the Love of Circles" stamp set.
I painted the inside of the circles with acrylic paint.
I stamped some funky text on the circles using Tim Holtz's Sideshow stamp set. Then I cut some patterned paper into squares to be the base of my paper badges. I covered some parts of the patterned paper with white acrylic paint, then stamped some loopy text on (with Dina Wakley's aforementioned "For the Love of Circles" stamp set). I smeared on a bit of colored acrylic paint and glued the stars onto my painted circles.
I assembled everything together and outlined the edges with a black Sharpie.
