My Other Creations: Notebook using Dina Wakley's Be Willing Stamp set and Backgrounds Collage Paper

Our theme at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog this week is "Movie Inspiration."  I love the remake of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty with Ben Stiller and adorned my notebook with a quote connected to that film.  Seems to be a good concept for this crazy overwhelming time in our world, too.

I started with a piece of patterned paper (Reminiscence by Elizabeth Craft Designs) and smeared some acrylic paint onto it.  I dried it with a heat tool (cause I'm impatient like that), then I stamped some images onto it that are from Dina Wakley's Be Willing stamp set.

Next I added more paint in various colors and by using Water Soluble Oil Pastels.  I also stuck on a strip of Altenew's Positivity washi tape.

I felt like I needed more patterning in the background, so I grabbed Dina Wakley's Collage Paper Backgrounds (polka dots in this case), tore off a piece or two and glued them to my page.

I added more color, then cut a circle frame out of some scrap text paper and laid that on.  When everything looked good, I glued the components down, typed the "Rediscover Joy" sentiment on a typewriter and glued that on, too.  Then I sewed my collage onto the cover of a notebook and added a yellow rubber band to keep it securely closed.

My Other Creations: Journal Page using Dina Wakley's Everyone is Welcome Stamp Set

"Anything but a card" is this week's theme at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog.  I reached for my Dylusions journal and some Dina Wakley products to make this journal page:

I started with a journal page that I smeared some white acrylic paint onto.  I sprinkled Infusions color stain onto the wet paint and spritzed it with water.  Here is the result:

Next I added acrylic paint in a few other shades, like so:

I needed my polka dot fix, so I stenciled some white polka dots on as well.

I used a new Dina Wakley stamp set called "Everyone is Welcome" and stamped the arched window image onto my page using Prima Water Soluble Oil Pastels as my "ink" on the stamp (I colored the stamp with the pastels, then spritzed the stamp with water and stamped it).  I also stenciled some black X's onto the page.  You may notice that I also shifted the color scheme from a peachy tone to more pinky-pinks.

I stamped the word "visionary" a few times and this page was done!
