I started by cutting the card shape using AALL & Create's Galactic Edges die set. They have all sorts of these card shapes and even sell a file box that they can be displayed in. To get started on my card, I just smooshed some paint around and let that dry.
Next I had some therapeutic water coloring fun on a piece of graph paper, which I then spritzed with Dina Wakley's Black Media Gloss Spray.
While that dried, I used paint and Dina Wakley's Dotted Tape stencil to create some polka dots on deli paper.
I tore some scraps of the water colored graph paper and the polka dot paper and glued them onto my file card, like so:
I wanted some different colors added, so I took a piece of kraft cardstock and painted some designs on it with acrylic paint, then scribbled onto it with some Distress Watercolor Pencils.
Here is how the project was looking after I tore up part of the painted kraft page and glued it to the index card:
I also stamped some numbers at the bottom of the card using a ruler stamp set from Elizabeth Craft Designs. I added some ledger paper scraps here and there, too. I decided I wanted to incorporate some rings or ring frames, so I cut some of them out using AALL & Create's Heartnook die set. I painted the rings and stamped numbers onto the ring frame.
I glued the ring frame and a ring onto the card and then found this great sentiment from Dina Wakley's Ledger Paper, set 1. I also added in some final touches of paint and scribbling and this card was done.
