Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Thinking of You Card using AALL & Create's Galactic Edges and Tear It Out Dies

We are officially into November and another Monday brings another Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge theme.  This time our theme is "thinking of you" and we're featuring products from AALL & Create.  I love their die sets in particular and use them any time I want a visually interesting edge or a wonky shape!

I started by cutting shapes out of Strathmore Mixed Media Paper with AALL & Create's Galactic Edges and Tear It Out die sets.  I wasn't sure which shapes I was going to use at this point, but I like to see my options!

Once I had my pieces cut, I painted the border edges and then tore some ledger patterned paper out of my Spellbinders Reminisce paper pad.  I punched holes in some of the scraps and glued them onto my square card base.  I added some paint to the punched-out holes I'd made and then glued on some of the edge pieces I'd painted.

I stamped my sentiment onto another piece of Reminisce paper (a graph design).  The sentiment is from a Simon stamp set (Cozy in the Cold).  I attached it to my card using Tim Holtz Cello Tape and then finished it off with some scribbling (Distress Watercolor Pencils) and painting.

Here are the supplies I used that you can find at Simon Says Stamp:

We'd love to see your renditions of our "thinking of you" theme!  Upload your creations to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog for your chance to win a $25 voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store.
