This week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge theme is to get painty! As a paint-addict, this was a fabulous challenge! I made a tag book out of a Dylusions #12 journaling tag that I folded in half.
I started with a black tag, which I heat-embossed some black plaid background lines onto. The plaid stamp is called "Criss Cross" from The Stamp Market. Then I used a brayer to spread some white, light blue and green paint onto my surface. Next I cut out a scallop-edged frame (also from The Stamp Market) and painted it with different colors of acrylic paint.
I stamped the sentiment (from Crate Paper's All Heart stamp set) onto the white background and added some dots with a Dina Wakley stamp. The black open scallop on the side of the tag is a die from Jane Davenport's Happy Little Unicorn set. I filled it with some patterned paper. When my cover was done, I cut some paper for the inside and sewed the whole thing up the spine.
