My Other Creations: Notebook using Stamping Bella's Oddball Sparkle Fairy

"Add a little sparkle" is this week's theme at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.  What better opportunity to use a whimsically wonderful new stamp from Stamping Bella called "Oddball Sparkle Fairy"?
The components of this notebook cover were pretty basic.  I started the background with Strathmore Mixed Media paper and covered parts of it with white paint smeared over a polka dot stencil.  Then I spritzed Dylusions Ink and water over the stenciled dots.  Because I'd laid the white paint on pretty thick, the dots showed up nicely after I spritzed it with the ink and water.

I stamped and fussy-cut out the stamped image and sentiment as well as a die-cut ring.  I glued them all onto my background after coloring my fairy with alcohol markers.  I also added some black dots for the sparkles.

I cut my panel to fit the cover of my notebook and sewed the panel onto my notebook cover with my sewing machine.

Here are the supplies I used from Simon Says Stamp:

  1. Absolutely gorgeous. I always love your colors and textures. Having the sentiment "sprinkled" down among the fairy's sparkles was such a genius touch. Love the movement. Thanks so much for stopping by my latest post. It's great to be back in blogland with you all for awhile. I feel at home with my crafty friends and I can breathe again. I hope I can keep up through the year this year. I love my job, but it takes all my energy. I have kept up the crafting this year, just not the blogging. I may do short posts during the school year and spend more time just being inspired by all of you talented individuals! Again ... love this. -- Mary Elizabeth

  6. I love Stamping Bella, she is just perfect on your notebook, she looks like she belongs in a world you created just for her! She reminds me of the stamps from Stampotique by Daniel Torrente. Sometimes you just need a little something to make you feel like you are not alone on your bad days! I love her message! Thank you Andrea, it is always such a treat to visit and come see your art!
