This week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge theme is stencil fun! I love polka dots, so I used a polka dot stencil to make the background of this bookmark. I enjoyed using Brutus Monroe's Rainy Day Cards last week, so I decided to try another set: Uptown Girl Creative Cards. This is the result:
I started by cutting out a background using AALL & Create's SkyCrossed Paradise die set and I chose which Brutus Monroe card I would use.
I used paint and Dina Wakley's Dotted Tape stencil to decorate my background paper. I trimmed down my die-cut paper and also cut around the girl image. I picked out a piece of patterned paper from Amy Tangerine's Paper Play book to incorporate, too.
I put all of the elements together like so. Then I decided to make a tab at the top (from Elizabeth Crafts' die set) and I stamped this great little sentiment from a Tim Holtz stamp set.
And here is the finished product with some fabric strips and strings at the top.
