Happy Thanksgiving week and welcome to another Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week's theme is "matching set." I made a matching set of earrings using Tim Holtz supplies.
I started by pulling some pieces out of Tim Holtz's Junk Drawer Baseboards collection. These pieces are all made of thick chipboard stuff. I cut some of the pieces and painted them around the edges to give more color variety. While the paint was drying, I got out some white beads and colored them with alcohol ink. While the beads were drying, I cut some scraps of Tim Holtz's Red Collage fabric and stuck them on one of Tim's loop pins. Then I added one of the alcohol-inked beads to each loop pin.
I got out my trusty Crop-A-Dile and made some holes in the chipboard pieces, then attached the pins and bead elements. I found some flower-shaped metal bead caps and beads in my stash and attached them to the front of the earrings with wire pins going through the back.
I dangled one last long wire/bead pin from the middle. I attached the earrings to some earring loops and these babies were done!
Here they are swinging away when I gave them a little nudge!
