"Add a little sparkle" is this week's theme at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. What better opportunity to use a whimsically wonderful new stamp from Stamping Bella called "Oddball Sparkle Fairy"?
The components of this notebook cover were pretty basic. I started the background with Strathmore Mixed Media paper and covered parts of it with white paint smeared over a polka dot stencil. Then I spritzed Dylusions Ink and water over the stenciled dots. Because I'd laid the white paint on pretty thick, the dots showed up nicely after I spritzed it with the ink and water.
I stamped and fussy-cut out the stamped image and sentiment as well as a die-cut ring. I glued them all onto my background after coloring my fairy with alcohol markers. I also added some black dots for the sparkles.
I cut my panel to fit the cover of my notebook and sewed the panel onto my notebook cover with my sewing machine.
