My Cards and Tags: Autumn Tag using Tim Holtz Halftone and Rings Stamp Set

I wanted to make a fun Fall tag for this week's Autumn theme at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog.  We're also featuring Tim Holtz products, so here's the end result:

I started by cutting a tag shape out of Tim Holtz's Abandoned paper.  I stamped and heat-embossed rings onto the paper using his Halftone and Rings stamp set and white embossing powder.

Since we're going Tim Holtz with this challenge, I used a lot of Distress Paint.  I finger-painted it on and smudged it around.  I also added some white here and there to lighten up the background.

While that dried, I found some Tim paper dolls and added some hats to them.  I also colored around the edges of them with a black Sharpie and added some Distress Ink smudging.  I think this helps them to stand out better from the background.  I also cut out some pumpkins using the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Pumpkin die and colored them.  I splattered some neon Pink Aqua Pigment onto my tag and stuck some Tim Washi tape onto the bottom as well.

All that was left was to assemble!  When it's gluing time, I love my UHU glue stick.

Here are the products I used that you can find at Simon Says Stamp:
