My Cards and Tags: Tags using Tim Holtz's Photobooth Images

Crack it up or break it up is this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog theme.  I decided to break up a big collage to use as pieces for these tiny tags.

I started with Strathmore Mixed Media paper.  I stenciled some circles onto it using Tim Holtz's bubble stencil and white acrylic paint.  Then I flicked some Dylusions sprays onto it and spritzed it with water.

I did some stamping next using Inky Antic's Color Wheel stamp set and Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink.  I stamped the image multiple times, then colored in some of the circles with white paint.

Time to break things up!  I cut my collage into smaller sections and also cut some tag shapes out using my Sizzix Big Shot and Pinkfresh Studio's Fillable Tags with Pocket dies.

I glued the collage pieces to my tags using my UHU glue stick and then smeared on acrylic paint in various colors.

Next I cut some loops out of black cardstock using my Sizzix Big Shot and Simon Says Stamps' Circle Loops die.  I glued the loops to my tags.

It was looking a little busy, so I added more white paint to tone down the black circles a bit and help them blend into the background.  All that was left was to cut out some images of people from Tim Holtz's Photobooth cards.  I drew and decorated a crown and a hat and added them to my people, then glued them onto the tags.  I used a black Sharpie to outline the tags, then I added some string through the top holes and these tags were done!

Here are the supplies I used that you can find at Simon Says Stamp:
