My Cards and Tags: Flower Tag using Simon Says Stamp's Deco Squares and Inky Antics' Color Wheel Stamps

Welcome to September!  I love this time of year for many reasons, but one highlight is Simon Says Stamp's STAMPtember® stamping celebration!  I always look forward to seeing their collaborative limited edition products.

Our Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog theme is to use your favorite stamp.  I made this tag using Simon's very own Deco Squares stamp and Inky Antics' Color Wheel stamp.

I started by cutting a tag (Maker's Movement Nested Box tags) and heat-embossing the deco squares onto it using Distress Embossing Ink and white embossing powder.  I added some Infusions, some Dina Wakley gloss spray and spritzed it with water.  When that dried, I stenciled some white paint on using Simon's Snow Falling stencil.

Next I stamped on some circles from Inky Antics' Color Wheel stamp set and painted them in with Jane Davenport's Mermaid Markers.

I wanted a little more pink, so I dabbed on some pink acrylic paint.

I cut some rose shapes out of patterned paper using a rose die, then rolled them into shape.

I stitched some stems onto my tag using a sewing machine, then glued the rolled-up roses on top.

This tag was done!  Here are the supplies I used that you can find at Simon Says Stamp:
