My Other Creations: Dylusions Dyalog Cover Re-do

With St. Patrick's Day right around the corner, our Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog theme is "a bit of green."  I used green as the main color component for my Dylusions Dyalog insert book makeover.
I started with this Dyalog insert book that has blank pages inside.

I slathered on some black and white acrylic paint, then added in lots of shades of green.

Being the dot-aholic that I am, I added white dots using an Altenew stencil.  I didn't want things to look too crazy, so I rubbed off a lot of the inside of the white dots so that just their outlines remained.

Next I went to my Dina Wakley collage book and cut out some circles and scraps, not sure what I would actually use at this point.

I ended up using the three circles of Dina's, though I added pink and turquoise paint to them.  I glued them onto my notebook cover and finished it off with a "Be Brave" sentiment from Tim Holtz.

These notebooks are so much fun!  Can't wait to start filling this one out....

My Cards and Tags: Tri-fold Tag with a Mini Tag Book Inside

"Tag It" is our theme this week at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog and we're also featuring products from Tim Holtz.  I made a tri-fold tag envelope that houses a mini tag book inside.

I made the tri-fold tag envelope by gluing two tags end to end.  I threaded an elastic through the middle section which acts as a "seat belt" to keep the mini tag book in place.  Here's what it looks like with the mini tag book attached inside:

And here it is with the tag book removed and standing in front of the tri-fold envelope:

And here's a shot of the outside cover of the tri-fold.  I hope the woman in this picture doesn't mind being cut in half.  They do it just fine in magic shows, right?
