"Masculine" is this week's theme over at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. I made a tag paying homage to faith-filled men and used Seth Apter's Gridiron die set to create textural elements.
I started by cutting the tag (from Waffle Flower) and the fabulous Gridiron shape. You can't beat a Seth Apter die!
I glued the gridiron piece to the tag and painted it. I also sprinkled on some Infusions and spritzed that with water.
I wanted to introduce another color, so I cut a slide shape from Tim Holtz's Specimen die set and added some purples into the mix. I took another piece of the grid shape and painted that as well. I also found a scrap paper that I tore into another sort of frame shape.
All that was left was assembly! I glued the layers together and added an image from Tim Holtz's Photobooth set as the focal point. I added some scraps of black fabric, then typed a sentiment to finish it off.
Here are the supplies I used that you can find at Simon Says Stamp:
- Seth Apter Gridiron Die Set
- Waffle Flower Nesting Tags Die Set
- Tim Holtz Specimen Die Set
- Tim Holtz Photobooth Ephemera
- Paper Artsy Infusions: In the Navy
- Dina Wakley Paint
