I started by cutting these bunny shapes with Tim Holtz's Easter Elements die. Once I cut them, I used the negative space as a stencil and traced the bunny shapes onto some tags so I would know the area I needed to cover. Then I filled in the bunny outlines with a collage of patterned paper and Washi tape.
Next I added some acrylic paint, including Dina Wakley's new Peacock and Eggplant shades. I also added white paint to keep it on the pastel side of the spectrum.
While my paint dried, I stamped some text onto my bunny cut-out frames. One of my favorite text stamps is from a Paper Artsy set (EEG18-- link in supply list below). I love the old-school typewriter shape of the letters. Once these were stamped, I glued the bunny frames onto my tags.
Next I blended the white frames into the background of the tag with more acrylic paint. When they were dry, I stamped "hip hop" onto the tags using gray ink and Tim Holtz's Cutout lowercase alphabet stamps. I also outlined the bunnies and the letters with a black pen.
I finished these off by adding just a touch of gray around the edges and I used Christmas ornament hooks to hang them with.
