My Cards and Tags: STAMPtember 2018 - Handlettered Halloween Stamp Set

Oh yes, oh yes!  It's here again: Simon Says Stamp's STAMPtember celebration!  And to kick off the party, this week's theme at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog is, "Stamp it On."  We're also featuring our very own Simon products.  I used Simon's fabulous new Handlettered Halloween stamp set to create this tag:

This is just one of many stamp sets that will be released during the STAMPtember celebration!  It is always so fun to see the amazing products and company collaborations that only come during this inspiring event.

For this week's project, my tag was pretty straightforward.  I started with Strathmore Mixed Media paper and added some white dots using paint and a Dina Wakley stencil.  Then I sprayed the whole tag with Marabu Acrylic Art sprays and a spritz of water.

Next up I cut some frames out of collaged scraps I had and glued them onto the tag.

I stamped and fussy-cut two jack-o-lanterns, colored them with Distress Ink, and gave them pointy hats that I cut out of patterned paper.  I glued the pumpkins to the tag and stamped the sentiment on the bottom with Ranger Just Black Archival.  I then had lots of fun with black Sharpies and black paint, which I used to outline the frames and darken up the whole tag.
