My Other Creations: Altered Dylusions Dyalog Pocket Insert Folder

Can you believe we're into May already?  April seemed to last forever in some ways, but May still caught me off guard.  One thing that was leftover from our Easter festivities was a wire egg-dipper tool thingie that came in an egg-coloring kit.  I decided to use it as part of my project this week since the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is to "Add Something Metallic."  We're also featuring products from Brutus Monroe.

I started out with a Dylusions Dyalog Pocket Insert folder and completely slathered it with white paint.  I dripped some Aqua Pigments on and spritzed it with water.

Next I added some Tim Holtz washi tape and some pink paint.

While that was drying, I made the other elements.  I painted the chipboard view cartridge and glued some paper to the egg-dipping wire.

I did some stamping on the background of my folder and on the view cartridge with a library stamp set I designed for Inky Antics (cause I'm a nerdy librarian like that).  As I was getting ready to assemble, I decided to rip some parts out of the view circle to make it look more imperfect.

I also added a "go" sentiment to try and capture that spirit of adventure that these two classy ladies seem to have!  With that, my folder was done.

Here are the supplies I used that you can find at Simon Says Stamp:
