My Cards and Tags: Flower Tag using Visible Image Stamps- Wings of Change and Creative Chaos

We are finally into September!  Hooray!  I love this time of the year, even though my project this week is rather Spring-y looking.  Our theme this week at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog is to incorporate a clear element, so I used some widow plastic to give some dimension to my butterflies.  We're also featuring stamps from Visible Image and they have some great products.

This tag background was frankly a mess, so that's why there aren't any process pics.  I changed it about eighty times.  I had a white paint layer at one point and added some Infusions (Royal Blood and Slime shades) and spritzed it with water (shown below).  For the flower, I stamped it twice: once on my tag and once on some collage paper I'd made.  I fussy-cut some sections out of the collaged flower paper, then glued those sections onto the flower I'd stamped onto my tag.

For the butterflies, I stamped the butterfly image onto some more collage paper I had leftover from previous projects.  I cut out the butterflies, then stamped the butterfly image on the window plastic.  I cut out the clear butterflies and outlined them with a Sharpie.

Next I folded the clear butterflies in half and sewed them to the paper butterflies using a sewing machine.

I added blue and green acrylic paint to the tag and splattered some white Amsterdam Acrylic Ink onto the background.  I glued my butterflies onto the tag and stamped the word "love" along the stem of the flower.  I used a black Sharpie to draw over any of the stamped lines that hadn't stamped dark enough.

Here are the supplies I used that you can find at Simon Says Stamp:
