We find ourselves again on a Monday morning, which can only mean it's time for another Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog theme! This week the theme is Tag It. Easy enough and I was happy to give the new oval Crop-A-Dile a try (spoiler alert: I like it a lot)!
I started by cutting out the tag with my Sizzix Big Shot and AALL & Create's Hexalove die set. Then I stamped some images on it using Tim Holtz's Deconstructed stamp set.
Next I painted it with watercolors and added some navy blue Infusions color stain.
I added more paint and did some scribbling with Distress Watercolor pencils. I found a piece of circle-cut scrap paper from a previous project and decided to glue that to the bottom of the tag.
Once I did that, I added a sentiment that I typed on a typewriter. At the top of the tag, I used the oval Crop-A-Dile to cut an oval-shaped hole and added an eyelet to it. The tool was very easy to use and was quite sturdy. Historically, I like the strength of the Crop-A-Dile tools and have relied on them for years to cut through all sorts of materials. I think the idea of oval eyelets is new and interesting and I like how the ovals are on the bigger side so you can easily thread chunky yarn or thick ribbon through the hole. I'm looking forward to using it more in the future!
