I couldn't decide on which direction to go with this card, so I just kept layering and layering. The base is made from Simple Stories' Basics woodgrain paper, then a scrap paper square next (from my stash) with a gray lattice pattern. I used Stitched Scallop Square dies from My Favorite Things to cut a yellow frame (Doodlebug Gingham and Linen paper) with a plaid inside (Lawn Fawn's Perfectly Plaid). I added a floral circle from Echo park's Homemade Happiness paper collection. I stamped, inked and cut out the popsicle from Concord & 9th's Sweet and Cool stamp set and added it on top. I added some faux stitching on top of the popsicle and some splats from Concord & 9th's Lots of Blots stamp set.
I stamped circles on top of the whole thing using Tim Holtz's Halftone and Rings stamp and Memento Ink's London Fog. I painted inside some of the circles with white paint and added Distress Ink and Simon Says Stamp Premium Dye Ink. I finished it off with the sentiment. I cut the word "Cool" from Tim Holtz's Word Play alphabet and typed out "is what you are" on my We R typewriter.
I'm lucky to have a lot of cool people in my life and also a very cool store to shop at! Here are the supplies I used, which you can find at Simon Says Stamp:
