My Cards and Tags: Tag using Inky Antics' Crafty Comments

Food and/or drink is this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog theme.  I made a tag out of the cardboard from a cereal box and added a mini tag from a tea bag for more embellishment.

I cut a tag out of cardboard using a Sizzix Tag Collection die and my Big Shot.  I used a palette knife to smear white paint over it and added some Infusions color stain (A Bit Jaded).  I spritzed it with water, then dried the tag off with a heat tool.

I got out my Mixed Media 2 stamp set and stamped some dots (using Twisted Citron Distress Ink) onto my tag.

I cut some scrap pieces out of Reminiscence patterned paper so that I could glue them onto my tag.  I also grabbed a tea bag tag, painted it and embellished it.

I glued everything together, then stamped a sentiment onto white cardstock using Inky Antics' Crafty Comments stamp set.  I also die-cut some shapes from Jane Davenport's Bubble Palace die.

I glued everything together and then used Prima Water Soluble Oil Pastels to add some little bits of color here and there.  I also stamped the word "Crafty" onto my tea bag tag and this project was done!

Here are the supplies I used that you can find at Simon Says Stamp:
